Tuesday Jazz Club Heswall Hall

With Out Of The Blue Jazz Orchestra - 22nd February 2022

Another great night of live musical entertainment from Out Of The Blue Jazz Orchestra at Heswall Hall at their Tuesday Jazz Club.

This is the first time I’ve had the pleasure of performing in this space, and I can tell you it did not disappoint! Not only was the set list a fantastic combination of big crowd pleasers “At Last” and “Manhattan Spiritual” to name but two, but there were some brilliant new additions that included “It’s Oh So Quiet” by Bjork and “You Better Do Right” by Peggy Lee (which I think its the only song I’ve ever intentionally sung whilst holding a pint - non alcoholic of course!).

From the house band who kept us entertained with their “Noodling” at the beginning of the event, right through to the end; the fantastic front of house team that kept the drinks flowing; to the band that were on great form and gave me the fabulous opportunity to perform with them, all aspects of the night were a tremendous celebration of live jazz and big band music.

I cannot recommend this evening more highly! Every last Tuesday of the month this same event happens, and if you haven’t experienced it for yourselves yet, then get yourself along.

Thanks again to everyone involved, including Becky Thomas who gave me a little bit of freedom with my song choices! I can’t wait to see and sing with you again!
